Some more details are now available on the previously reported on Orama, the upcoming restaurant from Chef John Piliouras (Nisi in Englewood). According to sources, the space is being designed to create a two-floor space in the style of a Mediterranean waterfront villa with each floor allowing for unobstructed river and NYC views.
Chef Piliouras will be serving a global menu with Mediterranean, American, and Asian dishes — the downstairs will be more of a bar area, serving a series of small plates (tapas), cocktails — a place where one can grab a beer, some sliders and other common bar food. The upstairs will be the full-on dining room and their will be an outdoor courtyard will feature some sort of grill/rotisserie. The wine list from Wine Director Chris Kuhn will feature Mediterranean and American bottles, along with Champagne and sake.
Unfortunately, there is still no specific opening date to speak of, so the wait continues.
